Brad is an experienced CEO with a proven ability to parachute into a situation and hit the ground running. Specializing in building relationships within organizations, business networks, and communities, Brad is skilled in working with a diverse range of people and cultures. He is a firm believer that relationships drive leadership success and community impact.

Brad spent nine years as the President and CEO of Matrix Human Services, a $60 million per year non-profit with 450 employees serving the City of Detroit, Michigan. Before that he was the state appointed Emergency Manager running the City of Lincoln Park, Michigan. He also has over 25 years of private sector experience in a variety of financial and operating positions, including eight years working in Asia, and 14 years as a consultant to small and mid-size businesses.

With experience in all aspects of running an organization, Brad can take on special projects, temporary assignments or act in an advisory capacity to senior management. He has managed operations using the Enterprise Operating System (EOS) and obtained his Certified Turnaround Professional designation while working as a financial restructuring expert.

Brad has strong communication skills and specializes in taking complex subjects and breaking them down into simple understandable terms. He has been quoted in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and USA Today, as well as being interviewed on television for Fox Money for Breakfast, CBC The National, and numerous local Detroit media outlets.

Brad has a B.A. from Albion College and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. He was recognized in 2023 as an Albion College Distinguished Alumni for work as CEO of Matrix Human Services. In 2021, he was recognized by Crain's Detroit as a leader in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Brad is a member of the Albion College Board of Trustees. He stays involved in his community as a member of the Resort Township Planning Commission along with other volunteer projects. He is also active as a part of the Capacity Advisory Pool for Rotary Charities in Traverse City.
